Helen Barton
Chiropractor
Helen grew up in the Midlands, where she developed a keen interest in the outdoors. She spent much of her younger years riding and caring for horses. She picked up a number of minor injuries along the way, which is where she first came into contact with manual therapy in the form of physiotherapy.
Helen’s first contact with chiropractic was when her older brother developed hip pain. After three years of on-and-off problems, her mother took him to a chiropractor who successfully treated him. Although chiropractic wasn’t her initial career plan, this stuck in her mind.
In 2003, she attended the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, where she graduated with honours in 2007. Over the last two decades, she has honed her skills treating people of all ages and backgrounds. She is passionate about tailoring treatment to the person and their lifestyle, and encouraging people to live their best lives.
Over the past few years, she has developed a keen interest in gardening. Alongside her son, she grows most of the family’s vegetables while keeping fit and mobile. She has come to the realisation that many of us can keep our bodies well while doing the things that bring us joy.
